Hi Laura, I found you and your blog through lookingthroughanotherseyes…who shared your stunning photos of Iona on her blog Outside the Box. I just wanted to drop in and say hello and that your photography leaves me in awe. You really do tell a whole story without a word.

HI Laura – I was looking around for a Follow button for WordPress. The only ones I could find were for FB and Twitter. What am I missing?

There is usually one at the top of the page?

I see the Follow button on the very top of the page. I believe that when you click on that one, your posts will only show up in the WordPress reader. Usually, there’s a second follow button in the side menu which brings new posts directly into people’s e-mail. That’s my understanding, but I could be wrong …

Wow – thanks so much! Both for the comments and the nomination. I am not sure life is always free – but it is well worth living! A famous surf photographer Mickey Smith once said “I may only be scraping a living, but at least this is a life worth scraping”

    Hi Laura,
Really amazing photos. They tell the story in themselves. They took me back to my travels to Kiribati in the Pacific. Could I ask what camera equipment you use?

Hi Marc, I travel very light with my Canon 5D MkIII (and my battered old MkII in reserve) and usually just a prime lens or two and my trusty 24-105mm lens. That is it! Kiribati sounds amazing.

Hey Laura thanks for the info on your camera. The photos from Bali really are gorgeous. The colour is really rich. Is the lens the 24-105 f/4 L? Any post editing? I’m looking at going to Indonesia in November and it sounds like the Floating leaf is definitely worth a visit. The camera tour sounds perfect..

No problems, most of the pics are on the 24-105 lens and some on the 50mm prime. There is minor post editing – some small adjustments in colour vibrance and contrast etc – but to be honest the colour is vibrant enough in Bali for very little alteration! Floating Leaf is really worth checking out.

Dear, your pics are amazing and I would like do use one of them to ilustrate a release/news from Embrapa (www.embrapa.br) as we have a project with farmers of peanuts from Mali. What dou you think? Off course that I´ll give the credits, but we can´t buy it, because we are a public organization. (You really deserve it, but at this moment we don´t have found for it).

Hi Priscila. Thanks so much for the message. Unfortunately I cannot allow you to use any of the peanut photos as they belong to a charity called All We Can and were taken for that purpose with specific permission from the people in them. Sorry! All the best with your project. With thanks, Laura
